2024 Northern Alberta Business Hall of Fame Inductees
Mary Cameron ICD.D is a business executive with experience in both the public sector as Deputy Minister in two Canadian provinces, CEO of the Alberta Workers Compensation Board, and private sector as CEO of several private companies. She currently serves on private company boards in the lumber, manufacturing, and technology industries, and is the Chair of Habitat for Humanity International. In the past she has served as Chair of Cougar Drilling, Director of Edmonton International Airports Authority, and Chair of Habitat Canada and Habitat for Humanity Edmonton. She currently serves as an Hon. Lt. Col. In the Loyal Edmonton Regiment.
She is currently a Principal of Ozone Advisory Group, providing governance consulting services to private companies.
Mary was the founding Chair of the interim board during the establishment and inaugural phase of Edmonton Global, the organization created with 15 municipal shareholders to work together to further economic development in the Edmonton metropolitan region.
Mary has been recognized with numerous awards for her community and business service including an Honorary Doctorate from MacEwan University, the Queens Jubilee medal, the Queen’s Diamond medal, ITV Women of Vision, Business Woman of the Year, Alberta Ventures 50 Most Influential Albertans, and U of C. Distinguished Graduate.
