Junior Achievement would like to congratulate Chelsea Hong, a third year Company Program student, on receiving the $60,000 Schulich Leader Scholarship! The scholarship is awarded to students who intend to enroll in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics, and who exhibit outstanding community and entrepreneurial leadership, as well as academic excellence. We could not be more proud of Chelsea, as we know she definitely exhibits all of these qualities.
Chelsea, president of Touch of Glass, is a Grade 12 student at M.E. Lazerte High School. She was also the keynote student speaker at this year’s Alberta Business Hall of Fame, where she shared her touching story of how Junior Achievement helped her become the confident and strong leader she is today.
More than 1100 students across Canada were nominated for the Schulich Leader Scholarship, and we are incredibly proud that one of those scholarships went to a Junior Achiever. Chelsea has grown so much since her first year with JA, and we are excited to see what her bright and promising futures brings!
