Junior Achievement of Northern Alberta & NWT provides students with the opportunity to apply for over $25,000 in local scholarships and $50,000 in national scholarships. To be eligible, students must participate in the JA Company Program.
Participants in the program are also held in high esteem when applying for scholarships not provided by Junior Achievement.

National Awards & Scholarships
Junior Achievement of Canada offers national awards and scholarships for high school students who have participated in the Company Program in their local charter.
JA Canada’s Scholarships for 2018-2019 are now open to applicants. Students can visit http://jacanada.org/awards-and-scholarships to select a scholarship and fill out their application. Deadline for applications this year is Midnight EST March 29th, 2019. Winners will be announced by May 13th, 2019.

This list is comprised of scholarships that achievers are eligible for or that JA Alumni have received by using JA on their applications. These scholarships are in addition to the scholarships provided by JA Northern Alberta & NWT and JA Canada. Most of these are entrance scholarships that are applicable to only graduating high school students.
Purpose: Provides grants in the names of Alberta entrepreneurs to Alberta high school graduates entering the first year of studies at an accredited Alberta post-secondary institution in preparation for starting a business. Academic excellence is NOT a prerequisite.
Value: $3000 x 6 Grants
Purpose: To recognize a young person who has demonstrated significant amounts of Innovation, Leadership and Achievements in their life, school, community, province or country.
Value: All expenses paid trip to Toronto for the Top 20 Under 20™ Leadership Summit occurring June 1 to 4th and Career Coaching x 20
Purpose: Builds the capacity of the next generation of business leaders by awarding scholarships to Canadian students with a demonstrated interest in international business.
Value: $4000 x 30 Grants
Delta Air Lines has selected Junior Achievement of the Americas to receive scholarships for 10 students to attend the National Flight Academy (NFA) in Pensacola, FL for one week during Summer 2019!
The National Flight Academy is a premier STEM education institution that provides students in grades 7-12 (13 to 18 years old) with a fully-immersive, learning adventure of a lifetime! During the NFA’s 6-day overnight program, 7-12 grade students live aboard AMBITION, a state-of-the-art virtual aircraft carrier. They work together to plan humanitarian missions with ultramodern, advanced technology, learn to fly in 42 networked flight simulators, eat on a mess deck, sleep in staterooms and receive mission briefings in six fully electronic ready rooms. By working in a team squadron format, they are able to collaborate and complete missions using a variety of STEM-based concepts while facilitators and chiefs (program counselors) incorporate 21st Century Core Competency Skills like leadership, communication, and critical thinking.
The student will need to pay for airplane tickets to Pensacola, Florida.
