Tami Lackey is a passionate advocate for mentorship and leadership, exemplifying the power of community support in shaping success. As the co-founder of Acclaimed! Heating, Cooling & Furnace Cleaning, her journey spans nearly 30 years of business growth, leadership, and community engagement. Mentorship has been a cornerstone of her path—from her first job as a teenager, a community playgroup with her first child 29 years ago while raising six children and building a business, to becoming a member of the Women Presidents’ Organization (WPO) in 2017, and collaborating with the business community through the Edmonton Chamber and Synergy.
Along the way, she has gathered a bouquet of “guardian angels”—mentors (personally and professionally) who have filled her cup with support, insight, wisdom, and raw feedback. She has navigated many failures with humility, reflection, and strength through them—to brush off the dust and get back at it. Despite not having post-secondary education, Tami’s success highlights the transformative power of mentorship, resilience, and community in accelerating leadership and opportunity, especially for women in a male-dominated industry.
