The Big Pitch Competition is the culminating event of JA’s flagship Company Program, where students develop, launch, and run real businesses over 18 weeks. In a Dragon’s Den-style competition, teams pitch their companies to local business leaders, vying for scholarships and investments. The event also features a student trade show, where attendees can purchase products directly from these young entrepreneurs.
About Company Program
The JA Company Program, a cornerstone initiative of JA Northern Alberta, provides high school students with a transformative, 18-week entrepreneurial experience. Through hands-on learning, students navigate the five key phases of business development, gaining real-world skills and business acumen.
71% of Company Program participants believe they’ll own their own business within a year.
