Inspiring the Next Generation of Women Leaders
In 2026, She LEADS is proudly presented by National Bank—and this annual brunch is more than just a fundraiser. It’s a mentoring movement where businesswomen and allies gather on International Women’s Day to champion the next generation of female leaders.
We’re creating a space where young women learn to:
- Inspire their own potential by exploring entrepreneurship as an exciting and attainable career path.
- Empower themselves to lead with confidence in business and beyond.
- Educate themselves on essential financial literacy skills — from budgeting and saving to making responsible financial decisions.
- Equip themselves with critical work readiness skills including communication, teamwork, and career planning.
Why Your Partnership MAtters
Your support can help a girl see what’s possible – to dream bigger, reach higher, and believe that she belongs in the world of business.
By sponsoring She LEADS, you’re not just funding an event – you’re investing in the future of young women who will shape Alberta’s economy and communities for years to come. Your partnership helps provide mentorship, leadership development, and opportunities that many girls would not otherwise have access to.
Together, we can create a future where every young woman not only thrives – but LEADS.

The She LEADS Movement
Confidence. Courage. Leadership. These are not just traits – they are tools that open doors to opportunity. Yet, research shows that during their teen years, girls often experience a dramatic drop in self-confidence, which can limit their aspirations and career choices.
At JA Northern Alberta, we’re changing that story. We’re empowering young women to see their worth, build their confidence, and step boldly into leadership, business, and entrepreneurship.
That belief is what drives She LEADS – a meaningful mentoring movement designed to inspire, equip, and empower girls in grades 9–12 to see themselves as the leaders of tomorrow.
She LEADS connects young women with successful female role models who demonstrate what’s possible when confidence meets opportunity. Together, we help girls discover their strengths, nurture entrepreneurial thinking, and build the skills they need to thrive in school, work, and life.

thank you to our 2025 sponsors & Supporters
This year’s She LEADS brought together an inspiring panel of powerhouse women who shared their journeys, lessons, and insights on leadership, resilience, and empowerment. Our 2025 panelists — Sarah Barbour (CWB, Managing Director, Strategic Programs), Dawn Harsch (President, Exquisicare, JA Board Member & New Company Program Mentor), Jacqueline Jacek (Founder, JACEK Chocolate Couture, New CP Mentor), Tami Lackey (Co-founder, Acclaimed! Heating, Cooling and Furnace Cleaning, New CP Mentor), and May Sharma (Company Program Alumna and former Company President) — captivated the audience with authentic stories of growth, courage, and community.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, we raised over $100,000 to continue empowering the next generation of women leaders. Over 360 women and allies came together to celebrate mentorship, leadership, and the power of lifting each other up. We’re already counting down the days until our next She LEADS — and we can’t wait for you to join us again!
