Sarah Barbour

Sarah Barbour currently serves as Managing Director, Strategic Programs at Canadian Western Bank, where she has held progressive roles since 2016. Sarah has led efforts to streamline credit risk processes, embed and operationalize risk program governance frameworks across the business, and optimize lending activities and structures. With a Master’s in Integrated Studies, focused on Work, Organizations, and Leadership, Sarah has combined technical expertise with exceptional facilitation and stakeholder management skills to drive impactful business transformations.
Certified in Six Sigma (DMAIC/DMEDI), Lean Manufacturing, and other process improvement methodologies, Sarah has built a successful career through her experience in the heavy equipment industry, tech startups, and banking, leading process development and optimization initiatives. Her ability to lead through influence and gain consensus among diverse leadership levels has been instrumental in achieving strategic goals across organizations.
